Nance

Stripe revenue, booked the way your accountant wants it

Nance turns Stripe payouts, fees, refunds and subscription invoices into clean accounting entries, every settlement, without the export ritual.

Stripe is excellent at collecting money and indifferent to how it lands in your books. Payouts arrive net of fees, refunds hide inside settlements, and subscription revenue lives in a billing system that does not talk to your ledger. The person reconciling it ends up downloading the same reports every month and rebuilding the same spreadsheet.

Nance does this work continuously instead. It reads charges, payouts and balance transactions from the Stripe API, matches them against your bank and your invoices, and posts entries your accountant can sign off without questions. Month-end stops depending on the export ritual.

What Nance automates with Stripe

Payout reconciliation

Every Stripe payout is decomposed into the charges behind it and matched against your bank statement, including payouts that cross month boundaries.

Fee and tax separation

Processing fees and tax lines are split from gross revenue and booked to their own accounts, so margins stay readable.

Subscription revenue matching

Recurring charges are matched to invoices and contracts. Cancelled, upgraded or failed subscriptions stop showing up as unexplained gaps.

Refunds and disputes

Refunds and chargebacks are traced back to the original charge and booked correctly, with disputes flagged the day they open.

Failed payment follow-up

Failed and retried charges are monitored, and the customers behind persistent failures end up on a worklist instead of in next quarter's churn.

Revenue recognition support

For revenue that needs to be spread over periods, Nance prepares the schedules and keeps actuals aligned with what was booked.

Connect Stripe to Exact Online, Twinfield, Moneybird & Xero

Most Stripe connectors are data pipes: they copy fields on a schedule and stop there. Nance is the connection and the colleague in one. It reads Stripe, applies your rules and does the actual finance work in your accounting package, with approvals where you want them and every action logged.

Access and security

  • Scoped access that you grant per connection
  • Revocable at any time, without our help
  • Every action logged with its reasoning
  • GDPR-compliant, hosted in the EU
  • ISO 27001 certification in progress

Frequently asked questions

We bill through a subscription platform on top of Stripe. Does that work?

Yes. Nance reconciles what Stripe paid out against what your billing layer says should exist, which is precisely where the differences hide.

Which accounting systems does this book into?

The systems on our integrations page, including Exact Online, Twinfield and Moneybird. Stripe data in, clean journal entries out.

How does Nance access Stripe?

Through a restricted API key with read access to charges, payouts and balance transactions. Nance never initiates payments or touches your Stripe configuration.

Can Nance work through old, unreconciled periods?

Yes. Pointing it at the backlog is a common first assignment.
