Nance

Finance lands on the list you actually look at

Open items from your books become Todoist tasks with context attached. When the underlying work is resolved, Nance completes the task for you.

If you run a company from a task list, finance has a way of living everywhere except that list. The missing receipt sits in an email you starred. The booking to review is a notification you swiped away. The approval your bookkeeper asked for is a message you meant to answer. None of it is hard work. All of it leaks out of your week because it never lands where you plan.

Nance fixes the landing. Every open finance item becomes a Todoist task in the project you choose, with the context attached: what it is, why it matters, what happens when you act. And because Nance does the underlying work in your accounting system, the loop closes itself. The receipt arrives, the booking gets approved, and the task completes without you touching it. Your list stays the one honest view of what still needs you.

What Nance automates with Todoist

Open items as tasks

Missing receipts, bookings to review and approvals to give land in your Todoist instead of scattering across inboxes and notifications.

Filed in your own structure

Tasks go to the project and section you choose, with labels and due dates, so finance fits the way you already plan instead of demanding its own system.

Context on every task

Each task carries what you need to act: the finding, the amount in question, who is involved and a link to the underlying item.

Approvals you can act on

A booking or payment waiting on you shows up as a task with the proposal attached, so the decision takes a moment instead of a desk session.

Done means done

Nance completes a task the moment the underlying item is resolved in your accounting system. Your list reflects your books, not your backlog.

A quiet list by default

You decide which item types become tasks and which stay in the daily summary, so the list holds work that needs you, nothing else.

Connect Todoist to Exact Online, Twinfield, Moneybird & Xero

Most Todoist connectors are data pipes: they copy fields on a schedule and stop there. Nance is the connection and the colleague in one. It reads Todoist, applies your rules and does the actual finance work in your accounting package, with approvals where you want them and every action logged.

Access and security

  • Scoped access that you grant per connection
  • Revocable at any time, without our help
  • Every action logged with its reasoning
  • GDPR-compliant, hosted in the EU
  • ISO 27001 certification in progress

Frequently asked questions

How does Nance connect to Todoist?

Through a secure, scoped connection to the projects you choose. Nance only sees and updates those projects, and you can revoke access at any time.

Will Nance touch my personal tasks?

No. Nance works inside the projects you designate for finance items and leaves the rest of your Todoist alone.

Where does the actual finance work happen?

In your accounting system. Todoist is where open items become visible and plannable. The booking, matching and chasing happen in the books and mailboxes behind it.

What if I complete a task myself?

That is fine. Nance checks the underlying item either way, and if something still needs attention it will tell you rather than silently reopening the task.
